New Business Digital Banking Arrives September 9

All-in-one tools for payments, cash flow, and account management — built to help businesses operate more efficiently.

Plan Ahead: September 8–9 — Online and mobile banking move to view-only for a short window as we finish our Digital Banking upgrade. Learn More

We're excited to share that your upgraded Business Digital Banking experience officially launches on September 9. This upgrade brings better payment tools, stronger fraud protection, and easier team management all into one connected platform.

Designed for small and mid-sized businesses, Elements’ Business Banking combines online banking, treasury management services, and dedicated support to help business owners stay focused on running their operations.

Your accounts and payees carry over automatically. On your first login after the upgrade, you'll just complete a quick identity verification using your business's ZIP code on file.

In the meantime, please take a minute to confirm your business contact information is up to date under the Settings tab in Business Online Banking.

Why We're Making This Upgrade

  • A more consistent experience across all your devices
  • Improved tools to better manage your money
  • Stronger security controls and fraud protection

Personal accounts are getting this upgrade too. Elements' Digital Banking for personal accounts is also moving to this new experience on September 9, with a fresh dashboard, savings goals, and more. Learn more about the upgrade for Digital Banking.

What Stays the Same

  • Your Accounts, Balances, and Transaction History
  • Your Current Username and Password — You'll complete a simple one-time verification the first time you log in.
  • Quicken and QuickBooks Access — Note: If you connect Quicken, QuickBooks Desktop, or QuickBooks Online to your Elements accounts, you'll need to do a few quick steps before and after launch to keep that connection working. Visit our Quicken & QuickBooks Conversion page for instructions.

Features Being Retired

The following features will no longer be available after the upgrade. Where possible, an improved alternative is available within Digital Banking.

  • Desktop Remote Deposit Capture (retail members) — mobile deposit remains available through the mobile app. — Learn More
  • The separate Card Control by Elements app — Card controls will now be built into Digital Banking. After the upgrade, you will be able to delete your separate Card Control app to avoid receiving duplicate alerts. — Learn More

Business Sub-User Permissions Will Reset with the Upgrade

As part of our upcoming Digital Banking upgrade launching September 9, we want to give you a heads-up about a change to your Business User Management setup.

What's Changing

Right now, each of your business sub-users has custom permissions you've assigned—such as Bill Pay, ACH, or card management. After September 9, those Business Sub-User Permission Settings will reset. Every sub-user will start with view-only access until you reassign their permissions on the new platform.

What This Means for You

Your sub-users' profiles and login information will carry over — you won't need to re-add anyone. But none of them will be able to take action (payments, transfers, card changes, etc.) until the account administrator logs in and rebuilds their permission sets.

Before the Upgrade

Before September 8, please visit User Management in the Administration menu of Business Online Banking and verify that each user's email address and phone number are up to date.

Accurate contact information is required to ensure uninterrupted login access after the upgrade.

How to Reassign Permissions
After the Upgrade

  • Log in to Business Digital Banking after the upgrade is complete (a one-time identity verification will be required on first login)
  • Go to Settings > Manage Users
  • Create Roles that define access levels for different employee responsibilities across your business. Choose from Account Access, Stop Payments, ACH Stop Payments, Bill Pay, External Accounts, Member-to-Member Accounts, Request New Card, Advanced Card Controls, Debit Card PIN Management, Activate Card, and Balance Transfer.
  • Select each User and assign the appropriate Role

A Couple of Things to Keep in Mind

  • Plan a few extra minutes on your first login to reassign permissions before your team resumes normal activity

  • Each user's permission set will be visible in the Manage Users dashboard, so you can confirm everything is set up correctly

Confirm your QuickBooks or Quicken Connections

Your Quicken or QuickBooks connection will not carry over automatically with the upgrade. Before the upgrade goes live, back up your data file and complete a final transaction download. Once the upgrade goes live, you'll need to disconnect the old connection and reconnect it to your existing accounts — skipping this step can create duplicate accounts and a messy transaction history.

  • Before September 8 — back up your file and run a final transaction update so your history through the switch is locked in.

  • On or after September 9 — disconnect the old connection, then reconnect and link it to your existing account (not a new one).

  • Using Express Web Connect? — this connection type won't be available again until on or around September 16 (about 5 business days after go-live).

  • If you end up with a duplicate account or missing transactions — contact our Member Services team, and we'll help make it right.
